CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD

Christmas Around the World is an activity where students identify Christmas traditions from different countries using descriptions, flags, and a world map. It integrates geography, vocabulary, and grammar practice in a fun, interactive way.

How does it work?

1. Divide the class into small groups and project slides that feature a description of a Christmas tradition, along with three different flags. Students must reason which country each tradition belongs to.
2. To add motivation, ask them to locate the three countries (or just the one they think is correct) on a world map shown afterward.
3. To practice vocabulary, key Christmas-related words appear in green.

At the end, the correct answer is revealed along with an image representing the tradition. This can also be useful for reviewing grammar concepts like the Present Simple, Present Continuous, and prepositions of place.
