Sport It Up – Product Summary

Sport It Up is a classroom-ready activity pack designed to teach/review sports vocabulary, modal verbs and adverbs of manner through interactive tasks.

• 1. Spot the Sports!
  Students match sports equipment to the correct sport using a projected slide or worksheet. Some items have multiple possible matches. Includes an answer key.
• 2. Sports in Motion
  Students look at paired images to guess the action and complete sentences orally (e.g., “In football, you kick a ball”). This activity focuses on verbs used in sports actions. Multiple answers may be possible; an answer key is provided.
• 3. Guess the Sport
  Students receive three progressively specific clues about a sport, highlighting modal verbs, equipment, and adverbs of manner. Working in pairs, they guess the sport with one attempt each, then create their own clue sets.
• 4. Gear Up! True or False
  Students read statements about sports and decide, in pairs, whether they are true or false—using modal verbs and adverbs of manner to support their reasoning.
• Project: Create a New Sport
  Using a guided template, students design a new sport, including its origin, equipment, and rules. They add an image (AI-generated or hand-drawn) and integrate vocabulary and grammar from the unit.
